Acupressure - the all-rounder against countless ailments
Acupressure, also known as Shiatsu, has its origins as an alternative medical procedure in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM for short).
As early as 3000 years B.C. This healing method was first used in the 1st century BC.
The basis of acupressure (also the related acupuncture) is the assumption that the body is traversed by 12 energy pathways, so-called meridians. These connect all of the body’s organs with one another.
If the life energy, the Qi, cannot flow unhindered, illnesses, pain or other suffering can be traced back to this restriction.
The acupressure points present in the human body lie exactly along these energy pathways. There are almost 400 of these - there are possible points for all complaints. Through targeted pressure stimulation, suffering and pain can not only be alleviated, but general well-being can also be increased.
Acupressure takes up the principle of the human body's self-healing powers. You probably know the automatism that automatically brings your hands to your temples when you have a headache or when you press specific points on your neck when you are tense. This is exactly how acupressure works. It is an aid to self-help. By applying pressure to certain points along the meridians, blockages are released so that life energy can flow unhindered again.
This is exactly what acupressure products are ideal for: The acupressure rosettes with their numerous tips stimulate blood circulation and cause the body to release happiness hormones, so-called endorphins. On the one hand, these have a positive effect on our well-being, and on the other hand, they ensure that the feeling of pain is curbed.
Acupressure works on the same principle as acupuncture, but has the great advantage that it is easy to use at home with the right tools.
