For years, I've been suffering from muscle cramps in my back, and for some time now, I've had very painful spondylosis (nerve inflammation) in my back muscles. Until recently, I took 5 400mg ibuprofen at least once a day to get a few hours' relief from the pain.
This mat is brilliant! After using it for the first time, I was pain-free for several hours. As described, I first lay on it wearing my thin undershirt and didn't feel much. Personally, I need the direct contact. It was a relief, and I use it regularly.
